I never truly appreciated Life Drawing until I went into 3rd year, and it was the only kind of drawing on paper we did.

On the other end of the spectrum, have some process and finished pics of some blue chicks.

Working, Finished, wonky face. Tried that block shading thing.

Process was basically light blue colerase, dark blue colerase, china blue pro marker.

So on LJ there's this tiny contest HERE where you are to draw yourself when you are 100 years old.
I thought this was a very cool idea.

I plan to look like this.
My explanation is:
I will forget eyebrow plucking ever existed, my eyes will be this side of legally blind, I will walk barefoot everywhere, and blankets will become this close to clothing. Because they're practical, and much easier to put on.
(So, you know, everything I do now, but when I am 100 I will be in public like this.)
Also I will have a sweet, if not crooked, zimmer.

From Left to Right-
A (mildly shopped to get out crumbs) cake I made at 1am last night. Tulips in full bloom, and the grove thing they were in on Bay st. closer to Front st., followed by other tulips near the same area, and the CN tower trying its best to hide.

Oh, and I need to get khakis for work by Tuesday, go to Extra Life this week, get contact lens fluid, finish my elective assignment, cut a trailer in Premiere, and finish 2 layouts. I think. Not to mention animation where I only have keys. Rough keys. Oh, lordy, lordy, lordy.

Holiday work

This here's the best (and frankly, most finished and structural) of the sketchbook doodles/cafe sketchings from the Christmas holiday (sad that it's only this much :\).

So the story of each from left to right, top down.
Starbucks sketches, fun with markers and Moulin Rouge although I think I should move the raised arm somewhere else.
Guy in Tim Horton's (honestly to goodness, I only exaggerated his hand), fun with patterns, and sketches of Miss Pooh, the family's cat (she really is named that).

The old woman and the man have some story behind them- I was about to go to sleep when these images popped in my head, clear as day. It was like looking over an already finished sketch page (which might mean these characters are already in use, and this was just my subconscious). The old woman I like best - she would be pale with a pink/purple sweater and white scalloped collar. The man below her would be wearing yellow, with blonde hair, and a very orange tan.

This was my final paint for DGT class. Did it in about 3 hours with some tweaking.
(Hahaha, perspective? What perspective?). Real paint is 8x10, 300dpi.

This I did last night. I don't know where it came from. I really don't. I think I've been looking at Oliver's stuff too often.

On a side note that squiggly thing in the corner I have dubbed my new signature. It's C.W. if you look hard enough. It's easier than PSing a mark into it, and I think it's cool it's a snail (grin, grin).

These are a collection (really, the only halfway decent) of sketches from the past Sketch Jam avec Graves and Co. (aka You guys don't live here?). Much fun and celebration, some booze, got home at midnight, was up until 4, slept until 2pm.
Sounds like a good start to the holidays, don't you think?

Top right and bottom left are people sketches, top left and bottom right are imagination territory.

Also woke up with Song of Solomon 8:6 in my head. It might be a sign, but a sign of what?

(This is Isabella, she normally wears skirts, but after listening to too much Daft Punk, this fell out. After all, with a re-animated head for a boyfriend, it helps to boogie down once in a while).

Jekyll to Hyde Transformation, and WIPs

With a whole load of WIPs and some finished. Well, one.

^^^ Came from Thea speaking about an Alexander McQueen show where a model wore antlers. After seeing the video, the model got away with wearing them in a different manner than I expected, but this was what came to mind first on the idea.

^^^ This came from thinking about high heels too much, and the sort of aura of femininity and ferocity that comes from them. Or they just look nice, whichever.

^^^ This was inspired by Kate Beaton's short comics (which I find brilliant), and a short series from them where she spoke to her 9 year old self. The above is exactly what I looked like when I was 9, wonky hair and all. Not as funny as I thought it would be, but I'll put it up for posterity. And Laura Ingalls books still kick ass. Little House in the Big Woods, woo hoo!

^^^ The above was a scene from the story involving the man on the right (and is involved with the following image). The anatomy on the figure on the left is terrible. On the right I'm happy with.

This is the 10 pose Jekyll and Hyde that I'm rather proud of. Theodore Jekyll has a very bad situation go worse. No, he doesn't transform into the monster, his twisted shell of a body just took up too much space, so it hs been forgone for composition's sake.

Omg R-rated painting!

Like this, mostly because I put more work into it, as well as the posing. This was essentially what I wanted that 2-week painting in Digital Tools to look like, to a degree.
I like her hips and the clothing and the ropes. Her face could use more work, but I like how her nose turned out. Maybe I should work more in the background; the past paintings have straight blue, green, or red, nothing varied.

Basically, these are submissions for a DeviantArt contest, using my crappy slap together painting style. I like it, I know I could go further with it (ala More detail, bright colours, some form of graphic design employed) but I choose to half-ass it. And I might just start working on other paintings. A little more painting. Basically, this was an idea I had when I was 16, and went through with it in my usual 'Show full body everyone', and pencil crayons.
This, I think, looks a little better (richer, mabye?).

I totally went there. This is what I have come down to. There's little to do while job searching except more job searching, so I've come down to this. I trust it'll only last as long as my unemployment does.

The above is part of an art trade with a friend of mine from Oakville; this is Elegy (Elly) from an RP entitled 'Hiccups'. She drew Theodore for me~ Frankly this is the first major finished work I've done in a month and a half.

This is spawned from finishing the above, and still wanting to draw. Pestered another friend of mine on MSN to tell me what to draw, and this was suggested. Ignore the lack of perspective, and my total loss as to what Front Street looks like.

It is a pity that my I do not update nearly as often as I should, but once a month seems fair compared to other areas that update much less often as that (at times it seems near on bi-annually) however, that is another matter, entirely.

This post, Guest, involves my recent delvings into the research and backstory involved with a current Character Design assignment, as well as much of my process:

The first two involve a transformation sequence from Dr. Jekyll to (loosely) Mr. Hyde, although in this case, the gentleman in question would be sorely unable to transform back, as in about pose 5, he would be quite dead.

Well, Guest, it's been much too long since I last posted, and needless to say, I have an impressively large amount of work finished, yet a small amount is available to publish online.
So! For the moment, I shall post my work that has been created within the digital tools class, as it is readily available on this computer, and thus, easier to upload.

To start!
It began with painting work already completed:

Which was then followed by a poster, and I am not going to show that simply because I know I could have done much better on it, so trust me that it really looked bad.

I then became the queen:

And now...well, this is where things get curious.
See, I was searching for an idea, and this one idea dropped out of my head, and onto the screen, and it's been working out rather nicely. However, the subject matter could be excused completely as a 'Ceci n'est pas une pipe', where really, it's only offensive to people when their minds run away from them, and if a 4 year old saw it, they would be slightly confused, and think some of it rather silly.
But I don't want to start all over again...

My reasons for doing so are my own, and generally involve ease of use, as well as ease of connection between my fellow artists, and I am glad that such a transition has been done so on an early notice, rather than leaving an entire gallery of work unattended, or transferring all finished pieces in a lengthy and cumbersome process that would have taken much more time, dear Guest, than I would prefer to use.

There shall not be any recent works updated within this post, sadly, unless I come across a certain connecting cord that the current instrument I use to capture my work requires; you see, I recently returned to my current living quarters, and conveniently left such an item at my previous home, and the journey involved in bringing such an item to me is much more involved than I would wish, and thus, I shall be on the search for this cord until further notice. (In fact, my current schedule allows me some time to traipse about the city to search for such a connection, and I may do so within the next week).

Good Day, Guest;

These next few works were created over the Yuletide season, especially those you see involving colour. The family of your's truly was in a very artistic mood when considering their relation, and I am proud to say that their thoughtfulness has been a great benefit to myself.
The first two pieces were created at the Christmas celebration of the family of my father, the hands are of my younger brother, and the arms are those of a close family friend. All subsequent works were plucked from imagination, and I believe this shows all too much with the very deflated apple near the bottom.
